The powerful 16" 14.5 Amp Electric Chainsaw is packed with modern conveniences that make it easy to use. The auto-tensioning and auto-lubrication systems make sure this saw is always in peak operating condition. These features provide the user with a perfectly tightened and well-oiled chain, which not only significantly increases the cutting efficiency, but also extends the life of the tool. And the built-in oil tank has a window, so you can see just how much oil you have left. The chain brake shuts the chain down quickly when you need it to. The metal spike bumper grabs into the wood so you have a safer, smoother cut. And the specially designed full-wrap front handle and rear rubber grip give you options to find a comfortable hand-hold. This saw has a 14" cord. The extension cord holder keeps them out of the way and lets you unravel more as you need to. And it's only 11 lbs without the oil, so anyone can carry it around the yard and use it for long periods. The 14.5 Amp motor uses a 120V~60 Hz power supply and spins the chain at 32 ft/s. The 16" chain will fell a standing tree of 16" in diameter and easily cut up a 30" log that is already on the ground. That chain has 57 links, and a pitch of 3/8", and a gauge of 0.05". This is a rugged chainsaw, made so that anyone can tackle backyard projects with confidence.
[AUTO-TENSION] Patented system prevents over-tightening and increases the life of the motor, bar, and chain
[AUTO-LUBRICATION] Keeps the chain running smooth and fast around the bar at 32 ft/s. And the oil-level indicator lets you know when you need to refill
[CHAIN BRAKE] Prevent accidental cutting with the quick-stop chain break. One of the many features that makes this a safer chainsaw
[FULL-WRAP HANDLE] The ergonomic front handle gives you leverage for both vertical and horizontal cutting. Find a grip that works for you
[DO IT YOURSELF. DO IT BETTER. DO IT WITH WORX.] WORX tools are engineered with cutting-edge technology, and above modern efficiency standards, so you can build a cost-effective tool collection that's been designed to last
[RUBBERIZED REAR HANDLE] The over-mold grip gives you superb control of the saw, and is comfortable enough so you can work for long periods without getting tired
[METAL SPIKE BUMPER] Grips the wood, prevents kick-back, gives you leverage for more controlled, easier cutting
[INCLUDES] 16" 14.5 Amp Chainsaw, Bar & Chain Sheath
Includes chain, blade protection cover, lubrication oil and chain bar

Q:Brand new, just bought saw, had to adjust tension a little. Filled with bar and chain oil. Only problem was that auto bar oil did not oil chain. Tried a few times, tried doing it over a piece of paper to see if oiled spattering and nothing? Why?

A: I’m sorry but I can’t help you. The saw was a gift to my hubby. He has not had a chance to use it yet. I would suggest you goggle it, go to YouTube or call a lawn mower repair shop. Sorry I could not help. Good luck.

Fatal Flaw
The saw was great for a while, but it stopped working recently. I took it apart and found that the main drive gear is plastic, and all the teeth are ground off. The replacement part is no longer available, so an othwiae fine saw went to the landfill. I guess I'm supposed to buy another, but I'm done with Worx.

Incredible chainsaw...
I bought mine about 3 1/2 years ago and had only used it sparingly to trim branch and make other small cuts. Just a few days ago I had a rather large cherry blossom tree that needed to come down. I started trimming the small limbs up high with a small pole saw I have, but began to cut the major limbs and eventually the trunk with my 16” Worx chainsaw. I was a concerned that I might need to get someone with a larger gas powered saw to cut the big stuff, but decided to try anyway. The Worx saw did the job. Check out the pictures below. Although I don’t expect to make cuts like this on a continual basis it was great to have this tool in my shop and get the job done.

Excellent Saw - A true workhorse
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this saw to use for “weekend warrior” logging and sawmill operations. I have taken down some hardwoods and softwood trees with it. The machine has ample torque, and will run continuously very well. I also use this saw (with a ripping chain) to mill logs into lumber. I have milled up maple, cherry, elm, and ash logs. The saw goes all day long and is ¼ the volume (sound) of a gas saw. I use this chainsaw to mill in my shop as well. No fumes!

Works great. Just what I need and more.
I bought this to cut down two trees. One was a smaller tree with about a 12” trunk. The other had about a 20” trunk and was higher than the roof on my house. As a 50+ year old female, I was able to cut down both trees and get the trunks to a height for stump grinding. This is easy to assemble, start, and use. It does not have the vibration or weight of a gas powered saw. I would buy it again.

It is a good powerful chainsaw. However, the chain loosen often and I have to open the chain cover and adjust its tension because after few times you tighten the chain with the big knob on the side, it no longer goes further!
I don't know if it's normal for these types of chainsaw but it shouldn't be this way. It should not loosen often.
Also, it uses a lot of oil but I have no problem with that. The more oil it uses, the less it jams or over heat. But you have to keep an eye on the oil reservoir. It goes down fast!
I have been using it for a month now and so far my only issue with this saw is the chain loosening problem.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. It is recommended that you tension the chain every 4-5 cuts. Depending on the type of wood being cut, the heat that is produced can cause the chain to stretch. To tension the chain, simply secure it around the sprocket and bar so that the chain is seated then pull the bar forward (outward) to create a snug fit. The chain should be tight enough to fit securely around the bar while leaving appropriate give for tensioning. Take caution that you do not overtighten the chain. Thank you for choosing WORX!

BEST TOOL SINCE SLICED BREAD
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have cut wood since I was little. Preparing a gas saw, mix, gas, oil, trying to start, breaking cord, and smelling like gas when done. I bought this saw after using a smaller off brand for around the house and I will never go back to gas. As long as you have power, it will start every time, no loud motor, no gas smell, shuts off immediately, and hands/arms don't get tired. No neighbor has ever complained and I have been out late using it. This saw has plenty of power easily cut thru 12 inches and trimming was simple. The cord is no different than watching out for your feet and legs. I would recommend this saw to anyone tired of making gas motors try to run.

A Beast!
I bought this electric chainsaw over a year ago to make log furniture for a cabin I am building. I decided to try it on all of the trees that were downed from the site. NEVER expected it to perform this amazingly well! Me and my son kept this thing busy a full day with absolutely no issues. We finished all of the largest logs in one day. Unbelievable! BTW, we did all of this with one blade (the one that came with the saw) and no sharpening required. I am speechless!
I am blown away with how this chainsaw performed and I would pit it against ANY gas chainsaw!
