The salesman at the store said it would match up. I brought the old one which was installed by Home Depot when they installed the door. The holes did not match. I would have had to drill new holes and there was not enough room between the old holes to do that. I had to use the spring and screws and put the old handle back on. I am usually happy with Home Depot products but not this time.
Money was wasted. If I had known replacement would not fit. I would not have lost the spring when I took it off.
