I looked at the one I installed on my door and you shouldn't have any problems installing it on a right closing door, as long as you center the strike plate in the center of the latch.

I used this on my Mom's standard screen door to replace a worn out mechanism. The door was probably 30-40 years old. It seems like it has a universal type installation for many types of doors. It worked well for me.

This kit was the perfect fix for an old, stuck handle set! It WORKS great now! The directions were easy to follow. I have novice repair skills and it was as easy as I hoped it would be to do this swap out.

The functionality of the product is very good. The installation and instructions are easy. However, something was caught on the latch and an interior piece broke off. Not a whole bunch of force. Product would be better if interior parts were metal. However, this is still a great product.

I was suprised to find that the latch part is plastic. I thought it would be metal, like the rest of it. It was the only selection available.

Good DIY kit, but...
This is a good DIY kit for most storm doors but 1 1/4 inch thick door owners beware (see photo). The longest screws provided are 1 1/2 inch and it is almost impossible to get the screws started. It would have installed faster if the kit included a set of 1 3/4 inch screws. I also found thick paint was obstructing the female threads (see photo) . Other than that this is an excellent DIY replacement kit for the money, that's why I conditionally recommend it..

Looks great, but getting a correct strike plate was a challenge. Several trips to stores to find one that worked. The bright metal plates included with latch don't fit even though the handles were easy to install.
