A:  Hello there! Wyze Cam v3 is not wireless. The v3 uses a USB wire to power the device and it does not use batteries. For its network connection, the camera uses a wireless network to send data from the camera to your smartphone, just like Wyze Cam v1, v2, and Pan.           This unit does NOT have the bracket
          I mean really? The bracket shown in the pictures isn’t included? The only mounting hardware is a 1 1/2” pan washer that works in conjunction with the cameras internal magnet?? The plastic packaging does NOT have a place for the bracket. This is the craziest crap I’ve ever seen!! The OG model, has the mount and the packaging is made accordingly. The v3 is not. I’m returning the OG bc the only way to use it is to pay. I’ll return this the same time. Glad I held onto my receipts!

            Indig these little cams. If you are using them for a system to monitor real time, then it may not make sense. However, through lots of troubleshooting I have figured out that V3s don’t do well with the older cameras if using a 3rd party app (tinycampro). Best if you hook whatever device is running that app directly to router rather than wireless. I love mine now. For the price you really can’t beat it. The notification specifications and rules you can implement cover every plausible scenario. I don’t have lots of experience using the AI face recognition software that it uses but I’m sure it’s great. Oh, don’t use aftermarket plugs or cables either…you’ll be resetting the cams constantly. I love this company though and support it while it becomes a major player cause they clearly have smart people working for them. I love good old industry disrupter. Lastly, the new web portal is fantastic considering it just came out. I imagine once it’s had more time to work out the kinks that it will unrivaled. I don’t give 5 stars easily so don’t read too much into the rating. Wyze is capable and that’s why I am loyal for sure.

            So far I'm happy with the camera's good quality, good price. Night vision is pretty good even under cloudy sky's, but much better with little light or moon light. Very easy to use and install. I only have the free basic plan and work for what i need it for. I used a 256MB mini card which gives plenty recording space. I will be buying 4 more.

            Great Product for the Great Value
            Camera works just as I thought it would. The frame and casing of the V1 through the V3 are fully plastic and seem quite easy to break. I would like to see a "rugged" option to purchase that would be metal casing and of course waterproof like the V3 is already I believe. And some kind of hardware encryption for the SD card or a way for all my local cams to save on my LAN to a formatted partition of a hard drive on my desktop. Or something similar. I've had two cams total in my WYZE history end up stolen and of course they take the SD card not even knowing its in the cam or maybe they do. But they easily just got all 16 GB of my continuous recording. Which should not be that easily compromised guys. And also the WYZE Live View website has been out for a minute now; where are the upgrades? And please figure something out with Amazon AWS with the live feed time out. I believe thats the main point of the site is to view the live feeds. But they quickly time out. I do love the pop out view feature for the live feeds. Except if i use an extension on my browser to keep the tab alive and refreshed so the feeds stay alive it of course closes the pop out windows.
