What you see, you don't get; disappointed.
The image used to sell these pliers on the HD website (July & August 2021) is not an image of the tool you get. First the image shows a USA marking on the tool. The tool you get is made in China. Second, the pliers shown have green handles. The tool you get has blue handles. Third, the tool shown shows sculpted handles where the jaws meet. The tool you get shows very little sculpting. The tool shown does not have gaps along the blade faces. The tool you get has gaps along the blades and the gaps do not close even with added pressure on the handles.
Apparently, Xcelite no longer makes this tool in the USA and the quality of the China version does not match the USA standard. I wanted a refined well-crafted tool. The tool I received is not a bad tool, but it does not meet that standard.

I used to have a really long thin needle nose...
I used to have a really long thin needle nose pliers for years of my dad’s. They were part of his typewriter mechanic’s tool set. Unfortunately I misplaced it. This Xcelite tool is almost as long / thin, and has lately been just the tool I needed a few times already.
