This X tremepowerUS 1.5 HP Dual Speed In-Ground Pool Pump is a self-priming pump that is designed for in-ground type of swimming pool, with dual speed settings that let you pump water slower or quicker for optimal water flow. All our in-ground pool pumps are constructed to be longer lasting with high durability and corrosion proof polymer used for the housing. The built-in drain plug offers cold weather protection and resistance against winterizing conditions. It features a large strainer basket to collect debris to be cleaned out during maintenance, keeping your pool clean and sanitized with the optimal flow of water for filtration. With this new pool pump you can adjust the speed of water filtration between low and high speeds from 1750 to 3450 RPM. Dual speeds on the pump allows you save on both energy and money at the same time by not having to run the pump at full power every time you turn it on.

Just like the others
I figured I will disregard the other reviews regarding this as a non in ground pool pump. Well I had to learn the hard way! After purchasing approx $50 worth of plumbing materials this pump just does not have enough power to push my automatic pool vacuum. Save yourself the money and pass on this one. The pump is above my water line and therefore does not have enough power to clean my pool. As everyone else has said not made for in ground pool only above ground! Additionally, this a 3 prong plug pump not hardwired.
