I put my main posts 50 feet apart. I had 4 line post in between. I would think you would not need a line post in between main posts that are 8 feet apart.

Bought all my fencing materials from Home Depot including the 10’ 6” top rails and all the guides. Great products and everything was in stock at my local Home Depot store. VERY satisfied and the fence looks great.

how many feet apart should these be installed

Hello Mike, thanks for your question. Maximum distance between line posts is 10 feet. It really depends on the fence layout as you want the line posts evenly spaced. So if you have a 20 feet between corner posts, 10 feet is good. If you have 16 feet between corner posts, you would set the line post at 8 feet. Measure the run between corner posts, calculate the distance between your line posts and use a measurement between 5 feet and 10 feet. Regards, your YardGard support team.

I suspect that 0.625 is a typo of 1.625. .625 is equal to 5/8. Your 1.66 is either a measurement error or a production variance of no consequence. You should be fine.

Excellent for the price!
Needed fencing for 8 acres. Finding this 4 ft field fencing for under $200 a roll for 330 ft was a blessing. It was easy to put up and holds the critters with ease.

As steel pipe goes, it is what it claims to be. I do have issues with Home Depot marketing of this product. As I searched for this item on the HD website, I found what I wanted but it was not available at my local store. I allowed the web site to locate other nearby HDs where the item was in stock. Pleased to have found the pipe in stock at a HD a reasonable commute from me, I changed the store selection. The price jumped up by 50% from $10.98 at some HDs to $15.98 at others. The only discernible difference was that the stores with inventory on hand wanted $15.98 while the stores charging $10.98 required that I wait a few days for in-store pickup. A third price of $12.73 was offed about 30 miles away across the state line into MA.This shows a great deal of disrespect by HD for its customers and for their customers intelligence.
