Can these be used for a clothesline post?
Asked by: DavidK
I have had success even hanging large wet wool rugs ~400 lbs horizontally. I suspended the rod from floor joists by heavy duty garage hooks. If you want to use as an upright then you might dig your hole and submerge one end in cement and use as a pole - consider adding guy wires but remember to be mindful of the potential tripping Hazzard. To link a line between 2 posts I would consider using something rigid such as a heavy gauge braided wire run through drilled holes in the post and turnbuckles.

I was a little taken aback at the price for these fenceposts at first, but when I compared them to the ones I was replacing (they'd been damaged by the hurricane) they are at least twice as thick, so I believe they'll stand up much better to the next storm.

This is an odd review because I purchased this post not as a fence post but as a pole to mount my personal weather station on. It worked perfectly and I have no complaints. The pole was well made, rigid and was easy to install.
