When I bought mine last year, I ordered green to blend into my background bushes and trees. I do not recall if another color was available, but it certainly should be an obvious option if you are ordering it online. good luck, hope you find what you need.

Use "T" posts, they are best

It says 14 gauge; does that count the coating or is that the gauge of the actual wire itself?

The wire is 16 gauge. Coating makes it as thick as 14 gauge, but does not add to strength. Much better rust resistance than galvanizing only.

Will this wire keep out raccons?

Raccoons can climb very well. I doubt this fencing will keep them out.

what is the size of the openings?

2" x 4"

Are the 2x3 openings small enough to keep skunks out? I have a dog that thinks they're playthings.

Unless there are very small babies, yes! Notably it will not stop the spray if your dog scares them, so you still might have to deal with that on occasion. If your dog digs, you might want to bury a row, or 2, in an 'L' shape. Animals tend to dig right at the edge of things, so creating that floor extending out away from the fence edge will discourage them from trying to dig down and under.

I needed to small animal proof an older redwood picket style fence where some of the pickets (attached on the neighbor side) were coming loose leaving gaps large enough for a small animal to get through. I didn't want to take away from the look of the fencing, nor did I want to have to negotiate a replacement fence with the neighbor. This vinyl covered galvanized welded wire fence did the job beautifully. The green somehow nearly disappears, but still looks ok where you see it. Easy to install, and will last longer than the fence it's attached to! I can see where it would make a great enclosure material as well, and that will be my next project.

Excellent choice to keep deer out without being too obnoxious! Wish it was available in store although having it delivered was very nice! Product arrived in good shape. Might be useful to order in 18 gauge although this was easy to cut and handle. Would recommend and buy again.

It was easy to use and stretch for our fencing around the garden. It's doing a great job at keeping the dear out. I like the darker color because it helps to blend in more with the area.

Nice fence for very active dog and the green color blends in to landscape well. Once I found a tool to easily install wire ties the fence was easy to attach to T posts.

Product was delivered with outermost layers bent. Disposed of the first several feet. Thankfully we didn't need anywhere near 50' of fence, and what was straight worked well. When we looked in the store, all of that was bent too. Your best bet is to pick out the best roll in the store.

We live in a suburban area with too many native deer that roam our properties and completely destroy our flowers and shrubbery. We are not allowed by law to shoot the critters and not allowed by covenants to have fences in the front of our property to keep them out. For several years now we have had to forgo the joy of seeing new tulips, and other flowers bloom in the spring and summer because the deer eat them up as soon as they sprout out of the ground. Thus, we decided in September 2016 we would enjoy flowers and plants next year and in the future by isolating our back patio and lawn with a deer fence. Thus, we purchased about 200 feet of the Yardgard 5' high vinyl galvanized welded wire fence to isolate an area in the back yard where we could plant lots of flowers and shrubs. To keep out the deer we installed the Yardgard 5ft high vinyl galvanized welded wire fence which is hardly visible and serves to protect our back lawn/patio area. We plan to plant a lot of flowers next spring to enjoy throughout the year now that we have the protection of the Yardgard deer fence. It already has kept out the deer since we installed it (see photos) and it is the best money ever spent. We should have done it years ago. The Yardgard fence was easy to install and the green color blends in with the natural background so it is not visible to people walking on the sidewalk in front of our house or driving in our cul de sac.

Easy to install as the wire is coated with plastic. Cuts to the size you need. I installed around new trees to keep deer from eating all the leaves.

I wanted something to keep the deer out of one of the beds in my front yard. The bed was kidney shaped and I thought it would be a bear to install by myself but it was easier than I expected and came out nicer looking than I imagined. I used a garden hose along the bed to measure the lengths of wire to cut. I laid the wire out on my lawn to reshape it to match the outline of the bed. I used an arbor and several U posts to provide stability, and anchor pins to hold the wire to the ground. I used velcro strips to hold the wire to the posts. I cut out a small section for the gate, loosely wrapping one end around the arbor and I used two large hair claw clips to easily attach/detach the other end for quick access. Then I sprinkled mole repellent around my plants to keep the smaller critters away. So far, so good. As an added bonus, I now have some height to grow lightweight vines like peas and bittermelon. One suggestion if you're tiny like me, don't drag the rolled up wire along your driveway. The weight will scratch off the vinyl coating. Gently walk the roll instead.
