When I picked it up I was a little concerned because the crate was almost completely destroyed. Once I got it home ad read the directions I assembled it by myself even though the directions said two people where need to assemble it. Other that it being heavy it wasn't all that hard to assemble. I have now used it and split about half a cord of wood and it works great. I have split logs from 4 inches in diameter to logs 20 inches in diameter up to 22 inches long. It is easy to start and runs smooth. So for I have had no issues with it.

We reviewed the models for some time and then decided to purchase a larger splitter because we already had 3 large trees cut to 16" long logs and some logs were over 2' in diameter. We are so glad we chose this model. This splitter was able to handle these huge logs with ease. Took us less than 2 hours to get a cord of wood split. This log splitter is definitely heavy duty and can handle the toughest logs. The assembly instructions were well written and made for a fairly simple process but I will say that with my wife and I in our 50's we wondered if we could lift the beam. We ended up using a ratchet strap connected to a tree to help us lift it into place. Then we tied it off to a total of 4 trees (we live in the woods) so that it could not possibly tip over. This helped tremendously with the rest of the assembly. We simply could not be happier with this product and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tough machine that can handle your largest logs.

I bought this 35 ton log splitter to replace a 31 ton model. The new one split large eucalyptus and oak rounds (20-30" dia.) with large knots with ease. It will cut through whatever it can't split. I have added a wheeled/adjustable front support to replace the standard one. Assembly was relatively smooth but required two very strong people and a third for positioning. I have had it for a couple of weeks and split at least 2 cords of wood. I use it primarily in the vertical mode because of the size of the wood and have not installed the side log supports. The engine starts easily and runs well even though I have not used full throttle.

Have used it 3 times now what a log splitter ! WOW ! If a log dose not want to split it destroys it . Very impressed with it ! Very heavy duty and very heavy machine . One thing i did to make easier to move around instead of non adjustable tongue jack i added an adjustable wheeled trailer jack as seen in pictures ! One pine i split is in pictures also what a machine LOVE IT ! Love the auto shut off on hydraulic reverse lever !

I’ve been splitting wood for 40 plus years and have used many different
splitters.The yardmax 35 ton,in my opinion is the best value on the market today.This splitter is quality all the way through with no short cuts on materials used to build it.Splits without any problem any wood you can physically put on it.I have split everything up to 36inch green wet oak and it never hesitated.I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and Home Depot made the purchase and pick up process very consumer friendly and easy.I was unsure if the crate the splitter came in would fit in my truck and called Home Depot to see if they could give me measurements on the crate.Within five minutes of calling the store customer service had my measurements.Thank You Home Depot!!
