Easy to use touchscreen lock that easily connects over wifi with the app and Apple's Home system. I love having a smart lock which I can check anytime to make sure it's locked if needed. The app is easy to use if you want to use it, but it's not required. Through the app you can setup temporary codes which would be very useful for Airbnb, contractors, etc.
The color is great, and quality of the lock itself is high.

Yale living up to its name
I installed this and the included wifi module in about 20 minutes. Looks and works great. I used the BILT app to install it and now can use the keypad or app to open and unlock the door. I can also assign temporary codes for guests or service personnel. Great lock. Instuctions were simple and easy to follow

Very convenient lock from Yale. I was looking to upgrade my lock, and with smart phones becoming an integral part of our life, I thought that this would be an interesting choice.
Installation was easy, with the app mentioned in the instructions. The only challenge I faced was that the hole in my door from the pre-existing deadbolt was abnormally small, so I had to enlarge it to fit this. Once that was taken care of, it really was easy; any DIYer should be able to do it on their own.
I like how you can set a separate passcode for guests, or anyone really, and be able to tell when it was used. I also like how you're unable to unlock it yourself from your phone anywhere, thanks to the wifi module. So if family is coming over, and you had to run out quickly, you can still let them in, even if they don't have a code.
The panel is back lit, and only shows the numbers when activated, which I like, because not only does it save battery life, but it's also not obvious from the street.
Really nice lock from Yale, with tons of features that I've only begun to delve into.

This Yale Smart deadbolt delivers peace of mind with some great tech, all in one. The unit is very substantial and typical of Yale products. The packaging itself is impressive, neatly packaging everything you need to get to work on the install (including batteries) and also the app setup.
For anyone yet intimidated by smart devices and setting up tech in their home, worry not. Once the app is installed, setup is a breeze - fun even.
The prompts are clear and audible, the lighting and panel system is responsive, bright and easy to read.
I'm crazy for not getting these deadbolts sooner. I have the matching handleset on order and can't wait to see the completed look.

Virtual keys means this is a must-have for anybody who does home sharing or has regular visitors such as home health care professionals, cleaning crews, etc.
For our home renovations, we often are not around when various trades arrive, but since I give them each a unique smart lock code, I know when I can meet them at the house to discuss their part of the project—I know when the electrician arrives or the countertop guy arrives, so I’m not stuck waiting for them if they are running late. I use a dedicated hotspot until internet is installed.
Home-Sharing is a perfect application—make each guest their very own “key” using their phone number (easy for them to remember, but not easily guessed), then when they check out just cancel that key code. It also works with just your phone or smart watch, but I have not tried that so can’t comment. I am excited that it’s compatible with the four major consumer-grade smart home hubs. Note: it does come with its own hub so a smart home hub isn’t needed. Home Sharing Hosts: plug the hub (the little white box that plugs in light a lamp) somewhere it will not get disturbed by guests and their young kids.
The lock is handsome and easy to use with a nice finish. It installs into standard door sizes—if you’re not sure if you have a standard door size or if the holes are standardized, then you do. People with non-standard sizes know it already. If you’re unsure, then rest assured this will work for you.

I had already installed a Yale Assure keyless deadbolt on my back door and was anxious to install this smart lock on my front door. Since I was replacing an existing Kwikset deadbolt, the door was already drilled and prepped so that made installation a lot easier. I used Yale's YouTube video for installation as it had better graphics and audio than the Yale app and paper instructions. After installing the lock I downloaded the Yale August app which has detailed instructions on setting up the lock and wireless function but I ended up calling their tech support line and they were extremely helpful and patient. It is so cool to be able to open my front door by touching a button on my phone screen. This lock has so many functions! The app on my phone alerts me when anyone in my family enters or leaves. I can lock or unlock the door when I am not home. Many more functions but I am taking it slow. I can't say enough about the customer support line. They are very helpful so don't hesitate to phone them if you need assistance.

The Yale smart lock is a very nice keypad lock .It's not as big and bulky as other locks It is seems to be built very well and quite secure. It comes with all the mounting hardware. (screws and striker plates). I has an Bluetooth adaptor so you can use your smartphone to open and close the lock from anywhere. You can program temporary codes for guests or workmen. Which you can set a time for how long you want them to work. Very nice black satin finish. Also has two keys in case the battery goes dead you can get in with those. I like the key pad part of it, I'm not sure if I am going to use the Wi-Fi smartphone thing or not. I'm old fashion or just plain old but I don't think I need my door lock that can be opened with my phone. But I change my mind all I need to do is plug in the module. I am quite pleased with this product. Like I said it has easy to follow instructions. And there are videos on the Yale website that walk you through the installation.

I have a couple of houses and therefore have used a number of touchscreen locks through the years. This lock has a lot of features and this version is WiFi and bluetooth controlled which I would definitely recommend. Z-Wave and Zigbee platforms are dying a slow death and I would not recommend those versions of this lock. WiFi is just so much easier to work with. The lock will auto lock when you leave, auto-unlock when you arrive and access codes for others are easily managed from within the app. The one touch locking is nice also. There is also an add-on feature that monitors the actual opening of the door vs merely the unlocking. This lock is also Homekit ready which is great for anyone using Apple products. The one issue I had when installing this lock is that my door does not have a face plate type deadbolt. I have a round push in type. Other locks I have purchased come with both deadbolts or a way to remove the face plate from the deadbolt. Yale does not do this and just supplies the one type of deadbolt. I had to order the right one from Yale which slowed down my installation and cost me a bit more money. See the photo attached for the two types of deadbolts. If you have the one with the face plate you are good. If not, be prepared to purchase the one you need.
