Where is this vise made?

AnswersThe ADI profuct line is made in China. Sometime around 2018, the ADI line replaced the FSV (forged steel vise) line. The FSV line was made in Taiwan. Although the ADI and FSV share the same general form factor and red color, they are not the same. According to my inquiry with Yost and published specs, the ADI vises are stronger than the FSV. That said, the ADI is made in China according to Yost.
What is the center to center mounting hole distance.

AnswerShipping weight is listed at 22 pounds. The tare weight should be 21 pounds.

This Vise is high quality, from looks to build & strength....it's forged steel, which is MUCH stronger than any cast vises!!!.....swivels 360°.....has lock downs on both sides, removable pipe jaws....on mine, the vise jaws held the corner of A SINGLE PIECE OF PAPER, all the way across, even with just lightly closing them!!....& the lifetime warranty speaks volumes!!!.....Go online & Google this same model but in the Yost 6" version....there's a video of a welder that mounts it on the back of his work truck.....WOW!!!....it's pretty amazing!!!.....Hope this helps.....Thanks & God bless.

Vise was taken apart and carefully re-assembled on arrival. Ways, lead-screw, thrust face, were greased. Gib was adjusted against ways. Loctite was applied to screws that are intended to stay tight. Edges of serrated jaws stoned to remove sharp edges.
End result is jaws that travel smoothly with zero to 1/32" free play, and meet perfectly when closed. That is after 15 minutes of work on a tool that should service for many decades.
I read that ADI is cast iron that is formulated and heat treated to high strength and wear resistance, yet remaining ductile (without being brittle). Good to know the inherent goodness is built-in, but I doubt I will be able to test them to limits. It will be put to good use, but I don't think I will be able to break it.
