6.5 in. Hobby Woodworking Vise

Works well, as it should. Also bought jaw guards.

Plan to use one for building flintlock pistols. Lined it with leather and liked it enough to buy a second one for flintlock rifles.

The vise meet my expectations apon arrival, and installation is a little challenging given its my first time instaling a vise. Aslong as you take your time, watch a few youtube videos and research wood working vise install on sites like finewoodworking, you will be just fine. I run into a few areas i had no knowledge of at first like wood vise pads and shimming undernead the vise but its working out. Over all, I am looking forward to learning to use this vise in small projects around the house.

Yost Woodworking Vise: The vise itself is fine; it does what you need. However, Yost loses points for not including the screws necessary for mounting! And they don't even tell you what size you need. It's ridiculous to have to take the vise back to a hardware store and find screws that fit! Very annoying.

ordered it thinking it was alright for the price and would use every now and then, its now the main vise I use, great for a limited space, more than worth the cost
