Hi Eric, yes, this product can be used on rubber, asphalt, vinyl composition tile, tile, sealed concrete, and terrazzo. Be sure to read and follow instructions on the label for the best results.
We would suggest that you contact Mannington to discuss how best to shine up your older flooring. The polish may shine up the floors, but you would eventually need to strip it off and the stripping chemicals may damage it.
This product is for use on interior floors such as rubber, asphalt, tile, vinyl composition tile (VCT), sealed concrete, and terrazzo. Not for use on wood, marble, granite, natural stone, painted or stained concrete, glazed ceramic tile, and newer no-wax vinyl floors. Please see label for proper usage instructions and test in an inconspicuous area before use.
Can this shine vinyl wood floors in one time?
Since we do not know the nature of the streaks, we will make a few suggestions, least aggressive to most: 1. Mop Streaks could be because of application, applying too soon after another coat, or applying too much at once or drying too quickly. If we are talking about these kinds of streaks, you may be able to use Buff Up and a red pad on a low-speed floor machine to buff it and possibly make those streaks look less obvious. 2. If this is only a few tiles, I am thinking “spot stripping”. I have watched a custodian do this: Glass Cleaner and an abrasive sponge (Scotch Brite yellow with green scrub side). Spray the area with the glass cleaner, scrub by hand, wipe with water. Reapply finish. The custodian actually used the sponge to do that when I watched. 3. If that is not aggressive enough, you can use pH Perfect, and a blue or green pad on the low-speed machines, over a larger area, and scrub the area wet, mop rinse, allow to dry then recoat. These are all processes that will help fix the issue without stripping with stripper. Ultimately if none of these methods are effective, you could use Zep Powerhouse and spot strip a small area. The problem is that any aggressive work may be harder to cover when recoating. When trying any of these methods, please be sure to test in an inconspicuous area first and consult your floors manufacturer for any additional questions.
We would recommend applying with a mop or auto scrubber for the best results. Please see the label for proper application instructions and always test in an inconspicuous area before use.
