AnswerYes, this stair nose works with floating floor. It can be installed on top of the floating floor. There is a small groove on the bullnose where the floating floor can fit. Set the floating floor back about an inch or so then drop bullnose in place. It’s not a flush fit, it’s going to have a slight lip where the bullnose meets the floor.
With the stair nosing being 94 inches, and my stair steps are 36 inches. Well I had that much waste or can I splice

Home Depot recommends this product to go with the Home Decorators Collection Strand Woven Bamboo "Java" stain flooring. Not sure why, because the color is not even close. The Zamma trim is very red - cherry or mahogany, not java or espresso. In my photo, our flooring is on the right and the bullnose is on the left. You can also see a very obvious difference in the glossiness.
We ordered the Zamma bullnoses, T pieces and step-downs, and of the dozen or so things we received, a single piece of step-down transition piece was close to the correct color (not spot-on, but at least close enough that it's not going to stick out like a sore, bright red thumb.) Wild that even within the same line of products which are supposedly the same wood and supposedly the same stain, there was no consistency.
Can't really rate the product based on its installation or anything because I don't plan to install this. If I had been putting in cherry or mahogany flooring, I might have been fine with this.

Nothing really wrong with this product, but the information is lacking to understand how it is used. So only 3 stars because of lack of info about the product.
pros:
the wood color matches exactly with the home depot hand scraped bamboo brown flooring (home decorators collection). It is fairly sturdy wood with a veneer that matches the bamboo.
cons:
I believe this bullnose is really designed to butt up next to one of the long edges of the flooring, although this is not conveyed anywhere. My floor ran perpendicular to the edge of the stairs so I had to make modifications for it to work. I had to turn the finished side of the board down on the table saw and create a notch on the end of the board by taking off the bamboo portion of the planks and then it fits under the trailing lip.

I was hoping that this stair nose would be an exact match to my hardwood floors. While the color seems to match fairly well, the finish is not very good. Moreover, the sheen appears to be somewhere between a satin and a semi-gloss which does not match our flooring at all. The price as slightly better than what I've seen elsewhere, but it seems to be at the expense of quality.

Poor quality
I ordered this nosing to have an exact match with the same flooring. After two weeks of waiting it finally arrived. As soon as i opened it I was disappointed. I've never seen such poor quality. Varnish was layered so much that it chipped with my nail. And looked milky and discolored. I immediately returned this item.

This is the worst product! It doesn't match the brown bamboo flooring at all. I ordered mahogany and took the brown back. It's still different but much closer than brown. Some of the finish pulled off with just blue painters tape. We used a stain stick to hide it but you can see there is finish missing. It's glossy and the flooring is flat. If I could do it over, I'd delay my project to stain stair nose myself. I may try to sand them in place and refinish it to match. There is only a bamboo overlay and the main part is some kind of wood so you can't sand down far though. The tongue and groove doesn't really fit with the flooring so you have to modify it and the gap is still different.
