Answer

Yes, but I would not recommend using it. It was difficult to install and appears to be made of paper board. The first piece we tried to install broke.

having that little of a gap will be negligible once it is correctly installed.

Will this work for floor transitions if they are not exactly the same height ?

All I did was to cut on table saw to achieve height I needed. Be very careful!

Cheap and substandard materials at a premium cost, do not waste your money!1`
I ordered 2 of these Marigold Oak T moldings so that I could do transitions strips in several doorways. They are basically contact paper covering a substandard material which might as well have been wet tissue paper! It is some kind of compressed paper that has absolutely no material strength or integrity. The first strip tore off at the tee when I attempted to adjust it slightly. The second would not lay flat because it would not go completely into the track. The third attempt broke in half as I tried to tap it into place on the track. At over $ 30 per piece, I expected a much better product.

I was hesitant to buy this, but I thought I would give this product a chance since it was made to match the flooring I bought. Don't do it! The color match is about the only good thing I have to say about it. It is basically a cardboard-type material covered with printed paper. Don't use it where it will be getting traffic because it is not very sturdy, and the outside covering on mine is chipping off after less than a year. It also cannot stand to get wet at all because the cardboard interior soaks up the water and swells. I'm not talking about a flood here, just a small overflow from a plant pot or a little rain coming in the door is too much. I also had a little trouble with the installation track system. Because the track could not be PERFECTLY straight and level due to imperfections in the adjacent tile and subfloor (what house is EVER perfectly square?), the trim wouldn't lay down as flush as it should to the adjacent surfaces, which resulted in the corners slightly sticking up and being at risk for getting snagged on socks and chipped. It might work for you better if you don't have to cut angles, and if it's in a low traffic area with zero chance of water. I will be looking to replace it with a solid oak trim stained as close to match as possible.

It s a tough decision to chose flooring for your home. I'm renovating a house built in 1907 and really wanted hard wood flooring. After purchasing samples and dealing with uneven old floors, difficult installs and a very high termite area I decide on this product. I had a professional installer I knew and he did a great job- it is a "floating" floor and more forgiving than a nail down so "do it yourself" people should have no problems. It has has been about 6 months and it is easy to clean (old towel with warm water, recommended spray product for sticky spills etc.) and it looks nice. I have pets and they have not scratched it at all with running and sliding. I intend to put it thru the house for an unbroken original look. My only negative is I really wish it had a slight shine to it. Not a heavy varnished look but a patina like real wood. All considered it is a reasonable priced, sturdy wear and nice looking product.

Love the installation
My husband loved the installation - the metal strip and just snapping the threshold portion into place. And it looks great too.
