Asked by TXChris May 10, 2017I have mitered a end piece just like you would for an outside corner so it turns back to the wall. But you have to be careful with this small trim on you miter saw as it tends to take flight as you get it cut off. Most pros will do this to finish ends as opposed to the miter and stain but it does take more time.
What do you use to fill the nail holes? Will a 18 gauge brad nailer do the job? Does it need to be glued to the existing baseboard or just nailed?
Asked by 1732 June 16, 2016I have had good success with nailing with 18 gauge brad nailer and using a gray caulk as the nail filler. Some times with the 18 gauge nailer you may get by without the filler because the nail head is so small, but I can tell, so it is a personal preference to fill the nail heads.
Does this color come in stair nose?
Asked by Debra February 14, 2016I couldn't find it in the store, but I was able to use a quarter round as the underside with a transition piece on the top. In essence, the quarter round underneath supports the leading edge of the transition so it doesn't break off.
