About This Product
The Zenith Floor Lifter was designed to bring the same utility and performance of the Trim Puller combined with the common and practical hand work of a chisel. The integrated wedge of the Floor Lifter has a larger angle for more aggressive extractions on bigger jobs. The Floor Lifter is excellent for wood flooring, wooden or vinyl siding, oversized boards and planks. Wood, ceramic tile, just about any surface can be worked efficiently with the Floor Lifter. It has the same integrated center wedge as Trim Puller that increases removal efficiency and prevents damage to both trim and wall. Its longer design provides for a deeper plunge on wider baseboards and trim. Its Z shape design is also ideal for crown molding removal. Is the end of the handle metal to strike with a hammer
Would this work on 1970 vinyl tiles applied w/adhesive directly to the wood which then had vinyl sheet flooring adhered directly on top of that by a so-called pro installer? Mom laid tiles way before how-to videos to help, "pro" made it worse, total mess!

Need to order the steel extension handle ,made by zenith
Best to try contacting Customer Service as there doesn't seem to be an extension handle made by Zenith available. Often Customer Service has manufacture info that is helpful. Maybe the floor tool handle threads match that of typical extension handle/poles and one of the many Home Depot sells will fit and be suitable for your needs. Again, Customer Service, the Special Orders Desk can help.
I don't think the one that they were designing was released yet. I think the whole covid thing messed up the timing. But it excepts standard there's so you could kinda if make up your own with pipe
Can this tool lift and remove tongue and groove laminate flooring easily?
Yes. Awesome. Along with Zenith Trim Puller Multi-Tool for Baseboard, Molding, Siding and Flooring Removal, Remodeling, it's all I use. Both are great tools. Strong, durable, multi-use very handy tools. Great for flooring and trim.
looking to pull up 1/8 plywood that is glued and stapled to subfloor. started with a prybar taking forever will this cut the staples which are 1/8 in by 1 in long
The blade is wide, but not sharp, so you're probably going to rip the staples out rather than cutting right through them.
I think so, it is heavy duty. any staple i have seen is an easy one for this.
Yes. The tool edge is sharp. Can be sharpened if it bends rather than cuts staples. The concern would be handle taking hammering. The metal inserted into handle likely doesn't go past the hole, (see attached photos), the weakest aspect of this rugged tool. But for the price if it got through this one job would be well worth the cost. If not it is returnable to Home Depot for 180 days and might qualify for the manufacturers limited lifetime warranty. The handle is pretty tough, has stood up well to hammering required to remove trim so it might not be an issue at all. I'd recommend trying, this tool is exactly as stated- more uses, less tools, saves you cash! Great versatile tool.
I believe this would work but would require the use of hammer. However I believe over the use that you need it that the handle end will fail.
