I have 1 wall that is straight out from the tub and the other is a 90 degree turn. Can the mounts swivel to be mounted?

Asked by: Bhaines
You must have parallel surfaces to hold the brackets. They will not swivel for a 90degree connection.

Can you order just a replacement rod?
Asked by: MaryB
I just called the number given by Zenith in their answer and was told that you can't order just a replacement rod and that number doesn't sell directly to consumers.

Can this be mounted on a flat wall? I want to use it in a laundry room to hang clothes right out of the dryer.

Will the mounting hardware allow for the rod to come out at a 90 degree angle so it can mount on a flat wall?
Asked by: Lisarob
Thank you for your interest in this product. The curved shower rod is designed to be installed between two flat vertical surfaces. For additional information regarding this product, please call the manufacturer's Customer Service Department at 1-800-892-3986.

NeverRust 44 in. - 72 in. Aluminum Adjustable Curved Shower Rod in Chrome is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 83.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away from this and all Zenith Products dont buy this shower rod. 1) all measurements in the instructions are incorrect - It lists 65" above the tub edge as the height to install the rod. This is 6-8 inches too high and leaves 6-8 inches of my tub showing beneath the shower curtain. - It lists that for 58" tubs, there should be no spacing back from the front of the tub. This leaves a 6 inch gap between the curtain and the tub which causes massive water overflows. I had to move the brackets back 4.5" to get to where they should have been placed. This caused me to have to create new holes in the wall and spackle over the gaping holes from the original holes 2) fastener quality is abysmal. Every single screw and fastener stripped the first time I attempted to screw them in. The wall anchors all broke during installation. I had to use my own screws and wall anchors to finish the job. Shower rods are such a basic product and should require absolutely no effort to install. This is not the case with this rod.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Completely Rusted - 6 months I purchased this product as one of the finishing touches to a master bath remodel. After around 3 months, rust spots started to appear and now, 3 more months later, the entire bar is rusted (with the exception of the mounting brackets). The literature included with the bar stressed the importance of calling the customer service line BEFORE returning an item to the store. I did that, they just said to return the item to the store. Very poor product experience all around ... don't waste your time with this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rusty Shower Bar Looked good for few months until small rust spots appeared. After 18 months it's completely rusted. I've had to replace the shower curtain & shower rings twice because of the rust stains on everything. If you plan on purchasing, do yourself a favor & buy some rustolem spray paint & cover the entire bar before you put it up. I'd say I wasted $40 but after adding in 2 shower curtains, rings & cleaner for my wall, I'm well over a $100 loss. Not a bad product if you only want the shower to look good for a month or you don't plan on using water in the shower.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rust This product rust in about 4 months. I tired removing the rust, but it's pitted into the metal. Upfront it looks nice. But when You dump a lot of money into a bathroom remodel project it only takes one rusted shower rod to make lit look hideous. Yes that pic is after 4 months

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rust pitting the curtain rod on underside drip line. A clean-installing curtain rod with a nice look and a bad flaw- the underside of the rod on what would be the drip line rusts with deep pitting within 8 months in our case. The "stainless steel" evidently doesn't matter in terms of corrosion. The brushed nickel finish is so thin/poorly applied that it's no real protection. Consider again that corrosion is on the underside where no one can claim it's the scraping of the curtain rings causing the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shower Rod Mounts much stronger than other brands. No plastic mounting parts like the brand at that other Big Box store. You need the strength because people throw wet towels over it to dry. I have used several of these with no problems at all. I will certainly buy more. My tenants love all the extra elbow room.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product rust quickly The rod looks good when installed. But I have only had it up 3 months and it has rust all over it. I will need to replace it already. Looks very nasty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Upgrade for rusted one Purchased this because the rod was a matching fit for the previous version. Previous model # 35605BN rusted within the first year in spite of the claims on the box. This new rod is Aluminum and fits perfectly into the previous model's wall brackets, no need to replace the brackets. The picture does not represent what is in the box. The rod is correct, but the new model's wall brackets are plastic widgets that then get covered by an ornamental cover. The picture with this product is for the previous model which had solid cast Aluminum brackets as shown above. I threw out the new brackets and kept using the original ones. Way too expensive for a replacement rod, but worth the trouble to avoid more holes in the wall, patch & painting. Home Depot should update the picture to what they are actually delivering.
