Installation a bit tricky, but it does the jobInstallation took longer than expected, partly because marking and drilling for the anchors was tough in a relatively cramped space and partly because of the time it took to attach the rods to the wall anchors. Overall, I'm happy with this shower rod, especially the added space afforded by the curved design. It's sturdy enough to support a shower curtain, inner liner, and bath towel.
A few tips from my experience yesterday:
1. Take care measuring height and inset from the tub edge — you may only get one shot. Before you drill, hold the rod close to its intended final position and measure to make sure your curtain will reach far enough into the tub.
2. Use a stud finder. It's helpful to know if you'll be drilling holes for studs or drywall anchors, since they're not the same diameter. (I had a stud on just one end.)
3. Attaching the rod to the anchors was the most frustrating and time-consuming step. You have to align the sleeve at the top, the screw at the bottom, and the holes in the rod and plastic insert, which is harder than it seems. I used an awl to make sure they were aligned, inserted the bottom screw, then the sleeve at the top, getting it started by hand before using the Allen keys.
4. Be careful when you're putting metal hangers on the rod — it scratches fairly easily.
