A: Mine have what appear to be Allen screws on top and bottom. Try Backing those out a little, move the covers into position and then retighten the Allen screws.

A: No. This shower rid has two was in which it can be put up and is easy to install. It can be anchored with screws that are supplied or it can be twisted into place. I have mine twisted into place in case I need to remove it in the future. It holds our over sized towels with ease.
A: Mine is attached to a stud, or wood reinforcement behind the wall. I had this installed with a bathroom reno. If the rod isn’t pulled on I don’t think it needs added support. I love having the permanently mounted rod.
