Zenna Home's Double Roller Shower Curtain Hooks allow both a separate shower curtain and liner to be easily added, replaced or removed from the shower rod. The hooks have a roller mechanism that allows them to glide easily over any standard shower rod. The hooks come in a package of 12 to match the number of holes on standard shower curtains and liners. Q:Are they rust proof

A:  Unfortunately, no. To be fair, it took about two years, but the hooks did rust, both along the top where they slid across the pole and, more importantly, on the prongs holding the inner and outer curtain. It didn't matter so much for the inside liner (which I replace every couple of months anyway), but it did rust stain around the grommets of the outside fabric curtain!

A:  Hi DPM, thank you for asking about the Zenna Home Shower Hooks with Double Roller Style! These shower hooks are made from steel, which is not a rustproof material. However, if you search "SS08ALBN" in the Home Depot's website search bar, you will find another set of double roller style shower hooks that are made from aluminum, which is a rustproof material. These hooks are guaranteed for life against rust. We hope this helps, thanks!

    Buy 2 sets to get one good one
    Seems typical that 2 or 3 hooks in a pack have bad weld joints. This happened when we bought for the 1st bath, and again for this bath. Hold the curtain hooks and slight twist the rod hook and they separate. If you get 12 good ones, they will last for years...... So, buy 2 packages and take the bad ones back

      Rusting after two months
      Initially, I was pleased with the design and looks of these hooks. However, in less than two months, the metal began to rust, making the rollers seize up and drag along my shower rod. Definitely not recommended unless you somehow manage to keep your bathroom free of humidity.

          Why would I want shower curtain hooks that start rusting immediately? Did no one consider the environment these would be used in? They leave rust marks all over the curtain and they don't even roll properly anymore.
