Is it okay to repaint a deck after Jomax Spray Once is applied and it dries?

Once Jomax dries, there isn't any residue and I would tend to believe that it is a good choice to prepare a deck for painting or staining as it kills organic material. Experience note: If you are going to paint the deck after cleaning it, I would suggest spraying a coat of water sealer with a product like Thompson's Water Seal or equivalent as it will greatly extend the life of the wood and prevent water from getting below the surface of the paint. We have been doing this for over 30 years and you will get tired of the paint before it breaks down or the wood rots.

No it will not; I also treated sidewalks and it did not harm the grass of other vegetation in planting beds next to the walkway.

Thank you for reaching out. Zinsser Jomax Spray Once is best applied with a pump up garden sprayer. You spray directly onto the surface when it is dry. Completely saturate the stains. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 6
