When we bought our place it was covered in the thick wallpaper. Everyone we tried to hire to remove it told us that our wallpaper was too thick compared to what they were used to working with. After 2 months of unsuccessful search we decided to do it ourselves. It took us a month to remove all the wallpaper without damaging the walls. Thanks to this solution.

WORKS GREAT
Whether you spray it on or use a sponge it works fast. Im my case I was able to remove the fabric wall paper and use Zinsser to remove the paperback, and used warm water to take the glue to ready the walls for paintings.

That's not what we expect to hear, Don. For thicker or older wallpaper, the wallpaper will need to be scored to ensure proper penetration of Rust-Oleum Zinsser Ultra Power Wallpaper Stripper.

Really works
I bought this because I was removing Wallpaper from the house that was built in 1950. The inspector told me the wallpaper would not come off! that the glue was strong enough to hold a bowling ball on the ball. However after scuffing up the paper and spraying this it scraped right off with a putty knife

This review is on the Zinsser Ultra Power Wallpaper Stripper. I realy hate removing wallpaper. Why do people use wallpaper? It's such a apin to get off... Or should I say it used to be. This ultimate power wallpaper stripper really works well. I use an old fork and lightly scratch the surface of the wallpaper and then I pray on the stripper. I use a brush and work the stripper around and then I wait. Don't rush it. Let the product do its thing. Then I use the zinsser wallpaper scapper (different review) and together the wallpaper usually comes off pretty cleanly. The goal is to get the wallpaper and the glue off in one shot if possible.

Worked as expected
Used to remove 4 layers of paper with paint between layers. Huge improvement over hot water but worked one layer at a time.
