Better than Regular Bullseye
I had both the regular VOC and the Zero VOC primer and I feel the zero VOC had better coverage than the regular. Not odorless but much less odor. I was so sick and dizzy with the regular bullseye. I didn’t have that with the Zero.

I put it over pine with an oil-based finish. Worked very well. However, I probably will put two coats of primer to be sure to seal any knots or sap as I am using a very light gray as a final paint. Great stuff, I only wish they sold it in single gallons - I had to buy a package of two.

You are correct, Zinsser Bulls Eye Zero Water-Based Interior/Exterior Primer and Sealer does have an odor. The “Zero” in the description stands for the fact that it has no VOCs or hazardous pollutants without compromising the blocking, sealing or hiding power.
