Really wanted to like but
I really wanted to like it, it was coming together so well. At the very end when it came to step 7 laying the horizontal bars across the frame they did not reach. They were all to short. Had to take the frame apart and now have to return it to home depot. I doubt I'll be ordering another one, the delivery was about a week late.

Great, Affordable Option, Sturdy
I've used this as my frame for the last 8 months. It's an affordable, sturdy option. I assembled it all by myself. It took a few hours. Some of the assembly was difficult and confusing, but not near as bad as some other products I've had in the past. The frame has minimal creaking. It does the job well, didn't cost a fortune, and is perfectly comfortable. It's a great alternative to needing a box spring and a frame. I've recommended this product to everyone who's asked me my recommendations.

I love how easy this was to assemble. They have numbered stickers on the parts that you match together, as well providing all the tools needed to put it together.

easy to assemble
EASY to assemble. Great picture instructions with each piece labeled on ends so there’s no getting it wrong. Comes with a ratchet wrench so screwing in all those bolts is a breeze. Very basic though. No place to attach a headboard. Mattress sits flat on it and tends to slide a bit if you suit on the edge.

One of the best designed metal platform bed frame I've encountered as confirmed by the reviews by precious customers. I'm an engineer and admire well-designed products with attention to details. Method of fastening and load carrying capacity was optimum in my opinion. Placement of fasteners alleviated being visible on the exterior. Fasteners also do NOT carry shear forces. I believe the bed frame can support an elephant. It is conceivable that the material could be Aluminum instead of steel, making it a very light-weight product.
The aluminum members could be extruded "C" and "T" shape bars for an even lighter bed frame. The finish of the Aluminum can be either Clear, Gold or Bronze anodized for a
contemporary and light-weight appearance.
