Smart Wi-Fi 1500-Watt 2nd Gen. Electric Personal Portable Ceramic Tower Space Heater with Digital Touch Screen Display

Really like this tower space heater. This smart technology is really a plus. This is definitely an upgrade as I needed to replace my bathroom space heater when the switch broke. Love the oscillation feature as well as the WiFi capability. Although I do set it to high it does take several minutes for it to reach temperature. With my iPad I can start it prior to stepping foot in the room so it’s nice and toasty when I enter. Warms the bathroom really well but that’s a smaller room so I used it in my large living room/dining combo and it did a fantastic job. Saw my thermostat rise 6+ degrees rather quickly making the room comfortable. It’s lightweight, modern looking and so easy to set up with the app. Very interested in the entire Atomi product line.

This is a great space heater and I have been impressed with it so far. This heater is on the pricier side, but it is full of great features, gets hot almost instantly, and the wifi/smart functions are great. I did have a minor inconvenience in setting up the wifi, but after a quick internet search I got it going and I will explain below. The wifi issue will effect you if you have a google wifi, nest wifi, or another wifi that chooses the radio band (5ghz, 2.4ghz) for you and doesn't let you manually select. The good: -It gets hot very quickly -It is not hot to the touch so I felt fine putting it in my kids room -The wifi function and Atomi smart app give me full control over every function -It heats the room quickly and the thermostat seems to work correctly -Works great with my Google home setup The not so good: -The beep is loud and I haven't found a way to shut it off -The google home function is limited to only on/off -The wifi is limited to 2.4ghz so for my wifi it was difficult to connect. Wifi fix - Since google wifi and nest wifi choose 2.4 or 5 ghz for you and don't let you do it yourself the app would not connect the heater to my wifi network because Nest had chosen 5ghz as the best option at that time. To fix this the easiest option I found was to put my phone in airplane mode and then turn on the wifi only (while in airplane mode). This happened to choose my 2.4 ghz band and the app worked. If that doesn't work for you. Turn on airplane mode and then go to a space that is farther away from your wifi and preferably through walls or floors. 5ghz works great close to your router and through open air, but not through walls. 2.4 ghz works better far away or through walls so when you turn your wifi on farther away the 2.4ghz network should be what is chosen and then the smart heater will be able to connect.

When the Atomi smart Wi-Fi tower space heater arrived this week I expected it to connect with my phone via Bluetooth or my wireless service. Instead it created it's own Wi-Fi network address after connecting through my home's wireless network. This setup works perfectly if you plan to use the heater in your home and within range for your Wi-Fi system; however, my plans were to use the heater in my recreational vehicle to prevent freezing during the winter months and for me to be able to monitor it remotely. Unfortunately, my router signal does not reach where my RV is parked so it will not work remotely. Consequently, I had to setup the heater conventionally using the manual controls and forego the features of using my smart phone application. The heater itself operates as expected although the temperature cannot be setup below 65 degrees which is disappointing because I wanted to keep the unoccupied RV temperature at 50 degrees to prevent freezing. Bottom line is the heater works perfectly if you plan to use it close to a Wi-Fi router and set the temperature above 65 degrees. It's just not what I needed.

This portable tower heater is ideal for cold bathrooms, bedrooms or elsewhere in the house or office. It produces heat as soon as unit is turned on via the touch screen buttons. It has 3 modes, Eco, low and high, as well as a rotating option for distributing the heat in the room. It also has a Wi-Fi option that is accessed through downloading the Atomi Smart app. I was not able to pair the unit with my phone, even after repeated attempts. However, using Wi-Fi on a heater that you should only use when home is not an option I would use. To use this heater you must first turn on the power to the unit via the switch at the lower rear of the unit, (see photo). There is a generous handle at the top for easy carrying.

This Atomi smart WiFi enabled tower heater is packed with features. From the easy to use intuitive phone app to the 2 second warm up time. Let's start with the basics, setup. One of the most problematic and frustrating areas for anything WiFi enabled is connecting to the WiFi network. Atomi includes a quick start guide that got me connected to my Wi-Fi network on the first try. Once connected, a couple more taps linked the Atomi smart heater to my Google assistant! You do not have to have Internet to operate the heater. The manual controls are simple and intuitive. Operation. The heat output is impressive. Warm up time is around 2 seconds, thanks to the PTC heat modules. The Atomi has several safety features, including a tip over sensor, a timer, notifications via the app and a "Go/NoGo" warning sound when plugged into the wall. This heater is very quiet and won't bother anyone reading, sleeping or watching TV.

Good Heat Output Worked well right out of the box, after I found the master switch on the back of the unit. I did not find any instructions in the box for manual operation. The controls on the front are all self-explanatory. I really did not want to have to run the app and connect the heater to my system just to operate it. My only complaint is the unit is much larger than I thought. If I had read the dimensions, I would have been fine, but looking at the advertising picture, the smart phone sitting next to the unit is not shown proportionally. It is most likely shown larger so the app can be visible. You may need to open the photos to view them. In my review preview, the photos had the bottoms cut off.

This review is independent of the price. The unit works very well but I think it is overpriced compared to other heaters. Especially if you have wifi plugs already and like the functions. I am experiencing app fatigue. Not sure I want another app that only controls one appliance. If you want a heater that can be controlled via your phone or tablet then look at other Atomi items to see if you want to invest in their other smart appliances. Might be a non issue for you so take it with a grain of salt. The app connected easily. Its easy to use. All controls on the physical heater can also be controlled on the app. But not all functions in the app are on the physical unit. The schedule can only be controlled via the app. And to be honest it is the main benefit of this unit. The schedule allows the heater to function like your home furnace with programmable thermostat. set it and forget it. Unlimited schedules from what I could tell, You can program multiple start and stop times for different days of the week or even the same day. i.e.. Weekday mornings for two hours then in the evening from 6PM to 10PM. Then another schedule for the weekend or different days of the week. The temp can be set to keep the room at whatever temp you want between 60 and 86 degrees. Only one fan speed that I can tell. Changing from Hi to low to eco had no affect on the fan speed. The fan is quiet. A very even white noise that is barely noticeable to me. A bonus if you want white noise when falling asleep. The fan is not too powerful. I couldn’t feel the wind beyond 2 feet so expect it to take 10 or 15 minutes to warm up a room from 60 to 72 degrees. The temperate light can be turned on and off via the app only if you like a dark room when sleeping or watching TV. by default it flashes the target temp when adjusting and then the actual temp. The oscillating function is called “swing”. It can be turned on and off via the app or physical unit. It has about 100 degree swing. There is a red bar at the bottom that is always on when plugged in. might be annoying but it is low to the ground. the front gets extremely hot. Like touching a hot stove hot. Its common sense but definitely keep away from toddlers or kids who like to touch hot things lol. The back stays cool so you could put it very close to the wall. There is a foam mesh filter that pops off you can rinse off as needed.

I got this for our RV trailer for when we are connected to power. Right now the trailer is put to bed for the winter so I have been using it in the house. It works great. If you had a isolated room it would work great. It swings back and forth nicely, which is settable. I haven't used remote apps much, so still using that. It has tip over safety and a filter system that catches the big stuff. It's going to be nice in the trailer.

It is WiFi compatible and you can download Atomic App app off You IPhone or Android phones has a step by step instructions included taped to inside top lid were you can control tower heating settings and how long you want it to run like 1hr or 2hrs. I like how you can have it stationary or put on oscillating, either by switch on tower or by your Atomic Smart app, The app also has notifications so if kids or your household pets knock it over you will be notified with a alert on your phone and safety switch will automatically turn of tower, It’s very quite so you can use anywhere in the house and at night and won’t wake you up. Comes with a 3 year warranty and a removable dust filter for easy cleaning, and is Alexa compatible so you can turn on and off with Alexa whenever you need too. I would definitely recommend this Atomic Smart Tower heater to anyone, especially if you have kids or household pets, and the outer cool touch and automatic shut off in case of accidental knock overs.

This Made in China heater is well packaged and easy to setup. The box comes with a Quick Start Guide with easy to follow instructions for registering and connecting you device to the Atomi Smart Phone App. You can control this heater through the phone app or digital touch screen on the heater. Lots of features and phone notifications if the heater is tipped over. I definitely recommend this product.
