Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Thank you for your interest in d-c-fix products. It is best to use the film on a flat surface. We can not guarantee that it will form around other shapes. Below are some instructions to use our adhesive deco films. Thank you. Place the film with the backing paper over the item you are going to cover making sure you have an even margin all the way round. Gently peel away the backing from one edge of the film and place the exposed film onto the edge of your surface (remember to leave a bit of overlap). Now with your cloth or smoother, press gently on the film and smooth along the edge, starting at the centre moving outwards in each direction. Once you have the film in place on the edge it won’t move around so carefully get hold of the backing paper and pull gently with one hand whilst firmly smoothing the top of the film down with the other hand, always moving from side to side. The idea is to remove the backing paper and smooth the film down as you go. This enables you to check that the film is going down smoothly minimising the risk of rest of the film getting stuck down where you don’t want it to. It’s worth taking this bit very slowly or getting help until you are confident with what you are doing. It’s easy once you get the hang of it. If you make a mistake you can pull the film off and start again (unless you are sticking to paper or cardboard
