not sure what your application is, if the other film you put under is transparent then it will work. if the film you put under is solid then it will act as a one way mirror.

As long as it is brighter outside than inside you will be able to see people come to the door. It will act more as a window tint than allowing natural light to come in
Is this applied to the INSIDE of the window facing out?
You want to remove the thin see thur film on the tint, after you wash the window from inside your house. If you place it outside, someone can very easy remove it to look into your home while you are gone to see what you have and return later...not saying everyone is bad or where you live is bad....but keep that in mind....mirror tint there should only be on mirror side which will be the same side with the very thin film to remove so it can cling to your window. Be sure to wash window first, put tape on it to help you keep it in place as you pull down the film.

For making your tint stay on the window, you will need to figure out which side has this very very thin film on the tint, that film is see through and you remove it, fair warning you want to have it cut, and ready to be placed on the window or you going to mess up the tint and get bubbles, using the kit with a window wiper hand tool worked very well. Be sure to wash all dirt off the window of the side the tint is going on to make a good connection with the window and tint. I used heavy duck tape to hold it in place so I had enough hands to pull the film from the tint as I slowly pushed with the window wiper tool to keep the bubbles out. If you try to get the bubbles out after you could, could, maybe, rip the tint depending on the brand and thickness. For example the window heat control film you heat up and it stays on the window, very thin and can rip so beware and research. Also beware of the type of Windows you have because some tint can crack or damage old glass or old style glass. Also with the mirror tint beware of the road and if it can blind someone driving because you may or could be in trouble or at fault if they were to crash, worst crash into your stuff. For example mobile homes are close together so the road is close to the homes so when someone drives it's a pain with that light shining back at you, so try using different tint on the Windows point right at the road, I mean if your home is at a corner or turn, beware of the light, how you can check is by drive yourself in different type of cars and trucks to be sure this will not be a problem if you really want the mirror tint but worried about blinding the drivers. Don't want a child or animal hurt by a blind driver.
YES it does while it says static cling it is not. It is NOT reuseable.
