Will this shelter keep the cat warm during winter? Is it insulated?

AnswersYes it is insulated and I got a pad to put in that is thermal and will absorb and hold the pets body heat to keep it warm.

AnswerCleaning is very easy- just hose it off and dry with an old towel. I found a small bale of straw at Hobby Lobby. I put this this house outside for the stray kitties in my neighborhood. I am able to put it under a sheltered area so I have since discontinued using straw and I have made a cushioned pillow insert that I can wash in the washing machine.

The shelter is perfect for mild to warmer weather. I had to add insulation to the shelter for winter. The floor does not fit tight on the bottom and allows cold air to enter through gaps. After adding insulation, covering it with a tarp and adding straw, our outside kitty seems comfortable. I also covered up the side door to keep it warmer. The flaps allow in too much cold air. It is a nice looking shelter but is really a better house for mild temperatures.
