It automatically detects steps and won’t fall down them. You don’t have to worry or do anything special.
You can just use Wi-Fi and use the app for your phone or tablet to have it do it’s thing.
Yes. You can swap them out whenever you want. It has a feature called Smart Maps. You simply create two separate maps... one for upstairs and one for downstairs. I have this and it works great... I have a very large sunroom that is down a step. When I want to vacuum the sunroom, I just carry it down the step and set it in the "starting spot" that I used when I mapped it, and then on the app, I just choose Sunroom. (It is a separate map from the regular House map.) Works great! The only downside is that obviously, it can't go back to the base to empty itself or to charge itself, because it would need to go up the stairs. For me this isn't an issue because my sunroom is not that big. But if your downstairs/upstairs is large, you might get a notification saying it needs to be emptied or charged, in which case you'd have to carry it back up/down the stairs to the base, then put it back to finish.
Dear Consumer This is a question for Home Depot as extended warranties is thru them. Please contact Home Depot customer service directly Thanks for your support iRobot
Yes you can. They sell the docking station that has the dirt disposal separately.
This machine does not mop, it only vacuums. It works well on hard floors and carpets. It does well going from floor to carpet on its own. The only carpet it doesn't work well on is if you have an extremely high pile shag rug (with very long "carpet hairs.")
I have a long hair cat and it pick cat hair and dog hair right up!
Yes it is safe for all kinds of floors.
It has a sensor that “knows” and doesn’t go off stairs.
When the battery gets low it returns to it's base, which is plugged in. It docks itself, recharges itself and restarts it's program and returns to work.
