AnswerThank you for your interest in the Chambers fridge. We have distributed this model since 2016 and it was available in Europe at least a few years before that. To answer your question, the door has performed very well. It is a solid molding wrapped in a high gloss foil. It gives it a beautifully rounded look and a uniform, seamless finish very hard to replicate with painted cold rolled steel.
Is the shell of the fridge made from steel or plastic?

It's small size is perfect for the basement space (24") , the retro look with the updated energy features. If you're looking for style and don't need a whole lot of storage space, this is it. The quick freeze drawer is great too, but note the freezer has three drawers which limits the size of what can be put in it. I bought the champagne color and I love it.
