Product Overview

  • Mature size is 40 ft. tall to 70 ft. tall and 30 ft. W to 50 ft. W

I live in boston. Can i plant this tree right now during the summer?

Answer

Hi Sen - Now and a little bit further into Fall is a great time to plant trees. For winter care, making sure to keep it well watered and protected from very, very cold temperatures will ensure it comes back the next spring! Thank you - National Plant Network

Would this be adaptable to a 22" inch container and same depth?

Hi Boothbay - this can be planted in a container but this is a deciduous plant and will need to be cared for in winter months by protecting the root system and bringing in to a warmer area during months of freezing. Thank you - National Plant Network

Really don't know how to rate, since we just recently received this tree. I will say it looked okay when we first got it but after watering it and keeping it shaded until we could plant it; it still tried to dry up and turn brown. Comes in a pot with only some mulch and no soil! The real test will be in a couple of years.... Only actual complaint is how it was shipped for the long trip of shipping. Fingers crossed!! We shall see.

These poor trees were boxed poorly, the tops of the trees were broken, they were half dead. I would NOT recommend this brand at all, they were in terrible condition I don't think they will survive.
