We online purchased three of these. The online description indicates the 4" tubes and a pest grate are included. We picked the units up, no tubes or grates, incorrect description? Should these be price reduced? Thank you in advance.
I had the same problem. Just a plastic piece with nothing else. no screws or 4" tube. Its too small. I guess I need 8"
Does it have cut outs to accommodate and make a seal on vinyl clapboards

What is the length of the metal tube?
The metal tube is not included with the purchase of this product. It is only the hood. The size of the tube depends on what is already installed.

This dryer vent uses a 4" hose.
Does it require caulking after installation? I have a 3/8 inch gap at top.
Normally you install a jblock into the siding. Then the exhaust vent installs into the jblock, then through the structure. The jblocks job is important. It’s going to fill the gap at the top and lay into the siding over each lap. Usually I will caulk the top(1/8 inch bead), and the sides. Leaving the bottom open allows moisture present to have a place to escape rather then fill up and causing water damage.

No. The flap closes via gravity in the absence of airflow.
