Q:What pulley does the 2206 require?
        by|Jun 23, 2022

        Answer This Question

A:  The motor pulley must be the same size and type recommended by cooler manufacturer. Do not use a larger pulley size which will “overload” a motor and cause it to cycle on and off. Recommended motor pulley sizes for 3/4 HP motors like the 2206 are: 3-3/4" adjustable -or- 3" to 3-1/4" fixed with ½" bore.

A:  The Bonaire 4000 has a direct drive motor. These motors are for belt driven systems and will not work in the Bonaire unit. Contact Bonaire for motor replacement.

A:  The motor is listed on your parts list that is included with the Bonaire Durango. Since Home Depot sells this Bonaire they SHOULD carry parts for these EVAP coolers they sell, if the manufacturer isn't assisting you!

A:  If your motor is connected directly to the fan, you will need to match the diameter and length of the shaft to match the defective motor you are replacing. The HP rating is the minimum rating required to rotate the fan without putting a lot of strain in the motor (overload) but you also need to make sure you match the speed of the motor to be replaced and see ifyou need a dual speed.

A:  the motor to small it over heating

                            by|Apr 5, 2022

A:  The motor is overheating and shutting down. This happens when the amperage used is greater than what the motor is capable of. Using a smaller diameter motor pulley or decreasing the diameter of an adjustable pulley by opening it up more can decrease the amperage draw. That would be the most likely solution. Also check the belt tension to make sure it is not too tight, or that there isn’t anything dragging on the motor such as seized up bearings or bushings.
