              Answer This Question

A:  It is the proper thickest but it is not exterior rated. I assume from your description "patio roof" that it will be exposed to the elements. Therefore I would only use exterior rated materials.

              by|Mar 2, 2020

A:  Yes you would need to seal it but yes would be fine

              by|Mar 3, 2020

A:  Shelli, My neighbor and I used the 4ft x 8ft sheets for my flooring. Your asking if it can be used on the outside. I would suggest that you the lumber dept. and for a manager for the right answer.

              by|Mar 2, 2020

A:  Yes. If you are going to shingle keep the same thickness but drop down one grade as you do not need one side finished.

A:  This product is classified as Exposure 1, which means it can be exposed to the elements for a while but not permanently. Most patio roofs are permanently exposed to the elements, for this reason, we do not recommend Rated Sheathing.

A:  This sheathing could be used as decking (sheathing) but you would have to put roofing felt and shingles or metal on top.

A:  If you're cutting it up for window boarding, you could only use the pieces to patch a roof. What are you going to do with a bunch of 2' x 4' pieces of wood? Sheath a house? Assume these pieces of sheathing will be used for small projects and buy accordingly.

A:  It would be great for that. It has one "good" side with virtually no knot holes (I had to fill one). Put the other side down and you will be fine. 3/4" thickness is plenty strong for a bench top.
