A:  Return it to Home Depot or call the company. Sounds defective.

A:  First, I would unplug the unit for a few minutes, then plug it in and wait about 5 minutes. Next-DO NOT use the remote. Use the buttons on the front of unit if your model has them to turn it on. Before using the remote remove the battery and then re-install it. If this does not work I would try all the steps again. If you have the same issue I believe the circuit board in the unit is bad.. Hope this helps...

A:  It will not ruin your floor it's a warn heat. I wouldn't use it on carpet but it's safe on wood and tile floors.

A:  No you can install this. It’s one piece. Plug it in and it blows a little heat. I would not think the little heat it blows would hurt the floor. It’s enough to warm your hands. We really like it but didn’t buy it to heat anything really. We’re using it as more of a filler for an old fireplace we bo longer use. Great purchase for us.

A:  The lighting rotating in back of your existing fire place makes it look real. Its clean and cozy I love this product. Plus it's safe when the grandkids are around. It's a warm heat so they won't get burned.

A:  Hello, Well---- I have to say you do know that it is not a real fire !!!!!! A comparison would be one of those "stove type" units that they have in the store and are offered on a couple of the home shopping sites on T.V. I have one of those also in another room. A:  I have been using this for several years now, and some visitors have thought it real until they get close. Nonetheless, it adds a cozy look to the room.

A:  Hi, I am not sure. Read the dimensions carefully on the website. It does need air all around in order to circulate the heat that comes out so I would give it several inches of space in all directions.

A:  it will clear on width but will be a close fit. OK on height and depth if the factory specs are correct. Don't run the heater in that tight space.

A:  Hello, mine is 4 feet but the owner's manual and the website when I ordered it stated it was 6 feet....Please keep in mind this was ordered several months ago so things could have changed....
