          A:  I also used a nail gun and had no splitting problems at all. I cannot imagine these splitting under any normal installation. They are a quality trim product

          Q:is this 100% pvc or is it laminated with PVC as in the products I've seen in florida ?

          A:  These are 100% PVC. The PVC is smooth (like a PVC pipe fitting) along the widths. The sides and ends are unfinished, so these are bare cellular PVC (ie. hardened PVC foam).

            A:  I do not believe this material is durable enough for a screen door application. It is a great product for trim but I don't think it would endure the constant flexing pressure put on it by a screen door. If I were building a screen door I might consider some 5/4 decking boards, or other 5/4 material. It would be more durable. Hope this helps.

              A:  I believe it only comes in 12 ft lengths. That is all they had in stock when I purchased it.

                A:  For trim yes. It cannot support weight, it's kind of floppy, not structurally strong like wood of same size.

                A:  PVC doesn't retain moisture, not sure what your application is as outdoor furniture but it's a possiblity.
