A:  Mine I leave it closed when's windy and everything is fine. Mostly of the air pass thru under the curtain and on top of the roof but still surviving the windy days.

A:  For the most part it stands up fairly well in strong winds. I purchased the screen and the privacy panel You don't need to open it.However, I did notice that the fabric on the panel will wear in a very brief amount of time. I discovered this after leaving open on an extremely windy day and found that the fabric began to break down were it was allowed to flap against the frame of the gazebo. The wear marks were at the bottom and noticeable to me because I inspect EVERYTHING! I live in Western New York, our weather can be fairly unpredictable and have experienced all four seasons in one day. Overall my only disappointments were the price and the hooks included to hang it.

A:  The shade/privacy cover does. The netting only about 10% of the glare. Suppose if the color was black it could block out more.
