Q:I am having to replace a cartridge in my Willamsburg faucet.  I have the top handle off, but I am having a problem getting the handle base to separate from where it attaches to the sink.  How can i do this without marring the handle base?

A:  Hello, Thank you for reaching out to American Standard. I’m sorry to hear of the issue you have had with your American Standard product. To loosen the handle base we recommend spraying a mix of white vinegar and hot water around the seam to help loosen the minerals binding it. We also recommend wrapping a rubber glove around the handle base for grip. Many plumbers have recommended using a strap wrench if hand twisting isn't working.     Q:I noticed you're making the Williamsburg wide-spaced bathroom faucet in brushed nickel. I believe it's Model No. 2908.224.295. Are you planning on making it in polished brass again?

      A:  Anonymous, This part comes in either chrome or satin nickel but the model number your attached states that it is a satin nickel. Sincerely, Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team
