A: Lynnmac56,
You would want to order part number 047146-0070A. You may want to try www.lockeplumbing.com as they carry older toilet parts.

Answer This Question
A: If you have the American Standard toilet the model number is on the top lid for the part number needed. I tried the generic one at Home Depot but it does not work as well as the OEM model. You can order it on line form HD.

Q:How do I find the model # of my toilet or can I use a standard flapper?

Answer This Question
A: Dear IsazaA,
We would need to know the model number of the toilet tank.
On the inside wall of the tank, there will be a four digit number beginning with a 2 for a one piece toilet or a 4 for a two piece toilet.
