Currently, storm doors are not included in EPA’s ENERGY STAR® Windows Program as there is not a procedure or standard to rate storm doors at this time. A:  Thank you for your question. For an Andersen 3000 Series Self-Storing Storm Door, the lever handle can be lifted up. This will not affect the operation of the handle. Also, you will need to lift the handle to properly remove/reinstall the screen assembly, center mullion, top and bottom window. - Jay

The Andersen 2000 Series has a 1/4 thickness door panel while the Andersen 3000 has a 1 1/2 thickness door panel. A:  The 3000 series storm door does not offer a double glass thermal pane, you can get the double glass thermal pane in the 4000 series storm door
