A:  Hi. I have to emphasis that the pearl tile is not the ideal material for outdoor application. It's tested and proved that is good for bathroom or even pool where water contact frequently decoration, but it's limited to indoor. It's made of natural pearl and it's main element is calcium carbonate which is corroded to acid and alkali (the mild acid like shampoo won't get effect to it). We presume this corrosion was caused by the property of thin-set mortar that we used for application. No matter what kinds of glue that we take for installation, it should be neutral. We do have some projects using our tiles outdoor, it's been over a few years and have not received any complaint regarding deterioration. However, we do not stand positively with regard to how long it will last. One thing it's certain that it must be installed with neutral glue, maintain it by applying professional sealer regularly can extend it's durability. We recommend to use the glass resin tile in our collection which I am confident for outdoor use. If the client insist on the pearl tile, I would recommend the seamless one.

A:  Hi. lt should be installed over the substrates where are firmly fixed, flat,clean, dry, and free of contaminants such as dust, oil, paint, sealers,etc. to ensure proper adhesion. Wet areas need special attention andrequire appropriate substrates,e.g., concrete, cement boards(compressed sheet), and/or treated plywood.The use of reinforced waterproof membranes is suggested.

A:  Hi. we recommend using a non-sand grout. Excess grout should be cleand from the surface as the workprogress, while grout is fresh and before it hardens.
