We can say you can use a 2-3" wide tiled curb, custom acrylic base, or zero threshold install directly to your finished bathroom's flooring, or a tiled base solution.

Its leak-proof seals and engineering are designed this way, as an inward swinging door will not allow you much room to leave the shower once inside.
