A: Hello Maureen,
Thank you for your interest in backyard X-Scapes products, I will be glad to assist you with your question.
Our Reed Fencing can be placed over a chicken wire fence and no small animals will be able to squeeze through it.
Please let me know if I can assist you with anything else and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.
Thank you,

A: Only if you using in addition to conventional metal chicken wire, it's super thin and fragile.

Q:Will the 6ft high reed fencing work on a 4 ft high chain link fence? I would like to add more height to prevent my dog from jumping over the fence as well as some more privacy.

For privacy we don't recommend a reed fence its more for décor. If installed make sure its behind a chicken wire fence if not your dog will go through it normally for this case we would go for a bamboo fence which is stronger and will hold for longer time.

A: Yes but It will fall apArt outside fast if exposed to the elements
by|Oct 20, 2020
A: Yes, you can, use zip ties to connect it to the fence.
It will last a year or two, less if the winds are high or the dog tries to jump the fence.
For more durability, I would go for a plastic lattice screen 4x8 and zip tie it to the fence.
This would last for several years.

A: Possibly drill small cement eyes at top, middle and bottom. Secure to reed with garden twine
Good luck

A: You can try construction adhesive such as the one made by LocTite or liquid nails. the downside would of course be that the adhesive will outlast the reed fencing and you will most likely never be able to get the glue off. Another option would be to use small plastic anchors drilled into the block and use light gauge wire wrapped around the screw and then around the reeds where they are wired together. I used wire to attach it to a chain link fence and it was pretty much invisible. The anchors can easily be removed and the holes patched with a little calk or grout.

This is a you tube explanation. I found it quite useful for your question. To install some 3x4 to enable the reed to be attached.

A: I feel you are nit-picking. It clearly states 6'H and 16'long. What difference does the formula make ? There is no W cos it's not relevant.
by|Aug 24, 2020
A: THIS IS A JOKE RIGHT ? This fence is made of a series of individual reeds tied together. How would you propose to measure the W ? Each reed has a unique diameter.Approach it as if you were considering hanging a rug on your wall. Or sheet goods for a floor.
by|Aug 23, 2020
A: Haven't a clue but its 3 foot tall 16 foot long. I think 6 foot means putting one over top the other since you get 2 spools.
by|Oct 31, 2020
A: Maybe nit pick but I totally agree, dimensions problem on a website that sells materials size is the most important aspect. WIDTH HEIGHT DEPTH. simple. Long is technically NOT a dimension but maybe this type item, rope etc. it makes sense.

A: Hello Nikki, thank you for your interest in backyard X-Scapes products, I will be glad to assist you with your question.
We don't normally suggest a structure piece, its more used for decorations but if you use it temporary you just have to make it really secure with zip ties.
