A: Thank you for your inquiry. If the GSH 16 Breaker Hammer that you've seen is 120V, then its similar to the 11335K available here in the USA. We would have parts available for repair. Its 15 amps and impact energy is 22 ft-lbs. For further assistance, contact us at 1-877-BOSCH99 (1-877-267-2499) from M-F 7a-7p CST.

Q:Does it break up concrete or just soil?
by|Aug 22, 2016

Answer This Question
A: When it works it will break concrete and hard rocky soil. BUT it will not run consistently if powered by a generator. The rave reviews do not reveal this and Bosch doesn't tell you either until you try to get it fixed. There's no fix to it, it's a design issue.

A: We try to run ours from a Honda 3000 generator. It will start the tool but after the first reset, the motor runs but the hammer doesn't. If we turn the hammer off and right back on it will run for that set, then stop on the reset. You can imagine how frustrating this is. Similar sized Makita runs without this issue. Contrary to posts here apparently from Bosch, two Bosch representatives have told me the tool is "not rated" for power from a generator, although neither explained what "not rated" meant.

A: 1800 watts minimum running watts, not max. The machine uses 1800 watts so I would recommend at least a 2000 watt generator.
