Q:Can this be used for automotive paint sanding...I tried i using it to prep for primer and the pad kept falling off. I read in the manual that I may need to switch pads to a stronger grip for lower grit paper. Is this not the best or recommended for automotive?

A: The diameter of the pad prevents use on inside corners . A vibrating pad sander will be required to get in the corners.

A: I'm sure you can, just get the proper grit sanding disc. I was building a couple of Adirondack chairs and was able to get to everywhere, around, top bottom, no problem. So a bedroom should be a piece of cake.

A: Thank you for your question. The filter cartridges are not available separately, if you would happen to damage a filter the entire dust canister assembly is available for replacement. There are too many variables to determine how often the dust canister would need to be replaced. Be sure to empty the dust canister often to prevent clogging. If you are not able to knock out all of the dust you can use your finger or a soft brush to remove the dust. Do not wash the micro filter with soap and water as dust may become more firmly lodged in the pores which will reduce dust collection and damage the micro filter.
