A:  Yes it will pick up pine needles but keep in mind that the sweeper will not pick up under one inch so what I do is if there is grass let it grow a little higher to raise the pine needles to pick them up or what I do with my acorns is rake them into rows and pick them up with the few that are left I will rake into piles and throw them into my sweeper. Good luck.

A:  bkcohen - The best answer to your question is yes and no. It will pick them up, some of them, but not well and it will put a lot of wear on the sweeper. Walnuts are a bit heavy and, unfortunately, I don't believe using the sweeper for this purpose is going to work as you hope. We can't say it's recommended.

A:  Yes it will pick up walnuts if they are not to low to ground. I use mine to pick up acorns but I have to rack them in rows sometimes.

A:  Yes if they are more than an inch off the ground. I use mine to pick up acorns but it works best if you let grass grown a little higher then normal also I have raked up my acorns in a row and picked them up that way then I just shovel the rest into the catcher. Good Luck.

A:  Hi Jim, While it was designed most for leaves and thatch it will also pick up the gumballs and pine needles. We do recommend the brush height to be 1/2 - 1 inch above the grass line to only pick up what is on the surface so if the gumballs are on top then this will work well for you. Side note - because of the spikes on the gumballs you may have to pick a few out of the brushes if they get stuck.

A:  Hi Uncleruss, There is a lever on the side of the brush housing that will show settings from grass to leaves. There is a knob and lever to hold the setting at desired height. We suggest at least 1/2 inch to 1 inch above the grass line. We also have an assembly video online. YouTube- search Brinly Lawn Sweeper assembly and you will see the leave for adjusting the brush height. Brinly-Hardy Team

A:  Yes it is adjustable. The closest that I can get it to ground level is about 1" any closer and you might damage your brush rollers. There are two adjustments that you can make if you still have your service manual it is on page 17. One is using the Lock Arm by loosening the wing nut and moving to lowest number and you can adjust your Hamper stops on each side by loosening but not removing nuts and leveling hamper. If you have access to a computer they is a very good step by step video on assembly and adjusting your lawn sweeper @ www.brinly.com or you can call service dept. @ 1-877-728-8224 Good Luck
