Q:Hi! Does this window film meet the ANSI Z97.1 or CPSC 16 CFR 1201 standard codes? If yes, can you provide me with relevant information or documents? I have already bought one and need to buy it again, but it must meet the above standards. Thank you.

A:  The S8MC has been tested according to ANSI Z97.1 Class B and CPSC Category 1 standards. Please contact Home Depot customer service regarding how document requests can be arranged from the supplier.

        A:  In addition to the clear security film, we also have the security film in different levels of black tint. (We also have a 4 mil security film in silver tint, but not 8 mil). We do have transparent color art films in blue, green, red, and yellow. These can be installed on top of the clear security film to add the color. (This should be done after the security film has fully dried, which can take a few weeks.)

              Q:If somebody shoots a rock out my window and I have your film on the outside of my window on my glass is there a good chance that the rock will not crack my window at all?

              A:  The security film will absorb impact, and if the glass breaks, it will hold the pieces together so that it is harder to puncture through. However, the glass can still crack with a strong enough impact. Note that S8MC is intended for inside.
