A: yes there is a blower
A: Yes, there is a blower fan in the Castle Pellet Stove. View this stove in more detail at www.castlestoves.com.
A: Yes, it has a blower, and it's a great little stove.
A: You can get parts online.
A: I don't believe this stove is obsolete. As far as replacement parts being in stock for it with the manufacturer I honestly couldn't tell you. I've owned this unit for just over a full heating season and I can tell you it's a heating beast in our home. I can tell you that if and when we do need to find replacement parts we will likely get them through a sourced warehouse as they are less expensive and quicker to ship.
A: Although I haven’t had to order parts, it appears that parts should be available based on this link - https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/3b/3b28571e-d7b0-475a-968e-fd9a0063240c.pdf The Home Depot is still selling this stove so I don’t believe that it is obsolete.
A: This doesn’t exactly answer the question, but after having this stove for two years, I haven’t had to replace any part, nor have I had any issues with it. Out of the three pellet stoves I have had, this one is the easiest to use and clean, and is the most reliable. The only maintenance I have done is regular vacuuming and it runs just as nicely as it did when we first got it.
A: In just the last couple months, I have ordered a part from them with no issues. They were very helpful on the phone, too!
A: Yes
A: Yes, it can be vented through the wall. It’s also recommended that it be vented so that outside air can be used; this improves the stove’s efficiency and assures that it is not using excess air in an airtight enclosure. I got a muffler extension from a auto parts store to use as the vent pipe.
A: Yes, we have vented through the exterior wall with 3 inch pipe. Great pellet stove.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. We don't really make a recommendation for a brand of pellets, however, we do recommend hard wood pellets as they burn hotter and longer.
A: Thru trial and error, we've found that Lignetics brand pellets are the best. They burn cleaner and hotter than most other ones out there.
A: my choice is green team it burns very clean but there are many good choices out there
A: Here in Alaska, HomeDepot sells the brand name called Cascade pellets made from Douglas Fir trees. Produced in Washington State they are by far the best pellets made that produces a hotter fire (than soft wood) and less ash. I've burnt softwood pellets and I can easily tell the difference between the two.
A: I'm not sure the difference between pellets, but I would make sure that they are of hard wood. Buy them by the ton to save money. I usually go through a couple bags a day when it is bitter cold. An awesome source for heat.
A: You may install with the vent through the roof. Please download the owner's manual at www.castlestoves.com to understand the process, requirements (clearances) and determine what materials will be needed to do so. Call 800-345-6007 option 1, then option 2 if you should have any further questions. Thank you.
A: Yes it is. However, in the installation manual there is clear instructions of the specs required to ensure a safe operation.

A: no
A: You may use solar powered battery back up as long as it meets the power requirements (at least 402 watts on stove startup-Ignite Cylce-, or at least 77 watts during normal operation) and Is pure sinewave (have not tested w/ modified sinewave). If you should have further questions, please send an email to info@castlestoves.com or call 800-345-6007 option 1, then option 2. Thank you.

A: Yes you can use flex tube inside a steel lined fireplace chimney. Be to use the rigid type of flex tubing. It's a little heavier and can handle hotter exhaust. Just be sure to add extra flex tubing so that you can move the Pellet Stove to gain access so the pipe to be cleaned at least once a season.
